12:3. ಇಸ್ರೇಲಿನ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನನ್ನು ರಾಜನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಲು ಶೆಕೆಮಿಗೆ ಹೋದರು. ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನೂ ರಾಜನಾಗಲು ಶೆಕೆಮಿಗೆ ಹೋದನು. ಜನರು ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನಿಗೆ,

12:3. ಆಗ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಕೂಟವೂ ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ--ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯು ನಮ್ಮ ನೊಗವನ್ನು ಕಠಿಣವಾಗ ಮಾಡಿದನು;
